SPRING WEATHER IN TEXAS is typically…well, atypical. Our version of winter intermittently returns to cast a shadow on spring’s arrival. And so it was on April 5th, winter provided Audi Club Lone Star (ACLS) members the perfect track day. Thirty drivers converged on the Motorsport Ranch (MSR) in Cresson, Texas (not far from Fort Worth) to participate in ACLS’s Spring Track Day. With temperatures staying in the mid- 50s, both naturally-aspirated and turbo engines reveled in the crisp, clean North Texas air.
Audi Club Georgia is hosting a 2-Day Driving School at Atlanta Motorsports Park! Once again, this year's driving school is presented by Audi North Atlanta! We are also proud to be supported by APR and Butler Tire. Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) is a road course designed by famed Formula One architects, Hermann Tilke. At AMPs heart is a 2-mile road course with 141 feet of elevation changes, technical course layout, high speed straights and two ‘signature’ corners designed to pay homage to famed European race courses; Belgium’s Spa-Francochamps and the iconic ‘Carousel’ from Germany’s Nürburgring.
Join Audi Club Florida as we celebrate our third year running for the 24 Hours of Le Mans party at Reeves Motorsports. I have been told that Audi is also welcoming back Porsche to Le Mans. Just who will be the instructor and who the student? This should be fun.
April was a busy month for Florida fans of the Audi brand, with the official launch of the A3 and the Audi Technical Center Tour. Coming in June are "Drop the Flag" events for the start of the 24 Hours of le Mans on June 14 - look for details in the coming weeks for where this will take place. This has been a great event over the past couple years.
Quattro de Mayo is a gathering of Audi (and other European car) enthusiasts from across the Southeast. Each year, we spend as many as four days driving some of the curviest roads in the country, and spend the evenings making new friends.
The 62nd running of the Twelve Hours of Sebring was a big change from the 61st. Gone were the Le Mans P1 sportscars, but Audi customer teams were there in strength to fight the Daytona GT (GTD) class. Despite rule changes and controversies during the race, the R8 LMS cars put in a good showing, with Flying Lizard's #35 car driven by Seth Neiman, Dion von Moltke, and Filipe Albuquerque placing fifth in class. The Audi motorsport experience at the Turn One Club was the place to watch the race, with a parade lap, paddock and hot pit tours, and new this year, hot laps in R8s.

TEXAS, THE LONE STAR STATE, is the largest state in the continental United States. But that never stops Audi Club members from driving across its interior to spend time with fellow Audi enthusiasts. For 2013, Texan four-ring owners descended upon Frisco, Texas in the Dallas Fort Worth area to celebrate all things Audi. This year’s meet brought a bevy of Audi models, including some of the more rare breeds on display at the Show n’ Shine event.
