Audi Club Wisconsin has a tradition of conducting annual driving clinics for teens to improve their driving skills. The goal is to teach many of the driving dynamics and skills that are often omitted in today’s world of basic driver education. The club conducts the clinics as a community service event and all teens are welcome. You do not need to be related to an Audi Club member to participate in the clinic.
The Teen Safe Driver Clinic presented by the Audi Club Chicagoland Chapter, is a great opportunity for a teen driver to work on improving their driving skills in a safe, controlled environment. The driving clinic, held at NIPSTA, is designed to improve your ability to control a vehicle in both normal and emergency situations.
This event is for teens who want to sharpen their skills and learn handling techniques that will make them better drivers. Our veteran instructors will describe the concepts of total vision and proactive vs. reactive thinking as well as demonstrate the mechanics of effective braking, oversteer/understeer and the effects of weight transfer. Throughout the day, you’ll get to hit the course and practice in a controlled environment with instructor feedback as you progress.
SUNDAY, SITA DANDIKER WAS DRIVING quite fast when, in an instant, she went off the road and onto the gravel shoulder. Seconds later, back on the road, the teenager’s vehicle hydroplaned and spun on a water-slickened road, then screeched to a halt after dodging obstacles and skidding across dry pavement.
